About our Campaign

Laurence was aged just 20 when he was diagnosed with a rare cancer, Rhabdomyosarcoma.
His journey was a difficult one, but sadly not unusual. It took three months for his disease to be diagnosed.
Laurence passed away seven months later on 8th November 2018. A promising student of Classical Studies at Royal Holloway University of London, he kept his third year studies up through out his illness, and even when receiving chemotherapy, sat his final exams.
His cancer started as a soft tissue tumour in his prostate; an area not considered due to his young age.
Of course, cancer knows no boundaries and it certainly doesn’t work on statistics. So, we want to do something to help Young Adults and Medical Professionals communicate better and assist identify these rare but serious occurrences quicker.
